Häfele in China

Häfele GmbH & Co KG is a professional hardware supplier with 5 manufacturing factories and 36 subsidiaries in the world. Staffed with over 4400 people, Hafele develops and manufactures exclusively in Germany. Sophisticated products are manufactured by Hafele in Five different locations that are used in furniture, kitchens, office furniture and project furnishings. With many innovative product developments, Hafele has become the technological trendsetter in the furniture Industry. Häfele is also one of the earliest companies to get the international quality assurance certificate(DIN EN ISO 9001) and international environment certificate (DIN EN ISO14001).

The major products of Häfele are categorized into furniture fittings, architectural hardware and electronic locking (Dialock) system. In Wolfsberg, Germany, Häfele has constructed one of the biggest hardware logistic centers in the world, with a total area of nearly 100,000 m², inventory of over 100,000 articles valued at app 80 million Euro.

From 1996 when Häfele entered into China until now, the world famous hardware brand Häfele has been recognized and accepted by more and more Chinese consumers. Häfele Holding GmbH formed a wholly foreign owned company in China. Häfele Hardware Technology (China) Co., Ltd. was established and registered on Nov.15th, 2002. It is located in Tianzhu Airport Industrial Zone, with a total land occupation area of about 25,000 m². The registered capital of the company amounts to 5.47 million Euro and the total investment of the project adds up to 10.2 million Euro. The project was completed at the end of 2004 and the operation of the company started in 2005. The building area totals to 9,000 m², including administration area of 2,650 m², showroom of 800 m², and the warehouse of 2,800 m² ,and other working areas, where nearly 4,000 articles are kept in stock.

Häfele hardware is not only the prior choice of many famous furniture and door manufacturers, but also has become the exclusive hardware supplier in such projects as Beijing Yintai Center, Beijing Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Beijing 8 Xiaoyun Road, Tianjin Jin Gate Jin Tower, Sanya Princess County, Shenzhen Westin Hotel, Shanghai Lujiazui IFC, and Shanghai Hongqiao Golf Villa.

To better serve the Chinese market, Häfele initiated and promoted hardware packages for residential areas including the electronic access control system “Dialock” for public facilities, various types and functional doors, hinges, door closers, sliding doors and partitioning systems, hardware for windows and shower rooms, and all kinds of furniture fittings as well.

Headquartered in Beijing, the company has also established its branches in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu. Currently the company is staffed with around 200 people who are well-trained and dedicated to satisfy the various demands of the Chinese consumers.
