Established in Nagold, Germany in 1923, Häfele is engaged in furniture fittings, architectural hardware and electronic access control system with customers covering property developers, furniture industry, architects, cabinet makers and distributors. It has set up 38 subsidiaries and 10 sales offices globally with products sold to over 150 countries and regions. The total number of employees has exceeded 8,100.
From 1996, when Häfele entered into China, Häfele has been bringing our customers the latest innovations and solutions based on our super-long hardware product range. With our branches in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu and own sales offices in many cities around China, we are always ready to provide our customers the most thoughtful hardware configuration solutions, products and services.
To make one step closer to our customers, we offers flexible ways to showcase our products and technologies, e.g. Shanghai Design Center equipped with innovative applications, newly rebuilt Shenzhen Design Studio with modern concept, constantly updated mobile showroom - Häfele Showbus which travels around China, and exhibitions and tradeshows around the country every year, which not only bring new solutions, but also inspiring ideas.
At the same time, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou four distribution centers stand side by side, forming a nationwide logistics network which includes a total storage area of more than 10,000 square meters, more than 13,000 kinds of goods, making sure we can meet customer needs in the shortest possible time.
Over the last 90 years, the German family owned and operated company has grown from a local speciality store for joinery needs into a company with global operations. Now 37 subsidiaries and many additional dealerships belong to the Häfele Group. Management is currently in the hands of the family's third generation: Sibylle Thierer became chair of the Häfele Group in 2003.
The Häfele Group's business figures have continued to develop positively in recent years despite a challenging economic environment. In the 2016 financial year the Häfele Group had revenue of over 1.3 billion Euros with exports accounting for a 79% share. Häfele has 7,100 employees around the world and serves hundreds of thousands of customers from the furniture industry, dealers, joiners and cabinet makers, as well as architects, planners and builders.
