Lotte World Tower is a 123 floors, 555m supertall skyscraper. It is currently the tallest building in the OECD, and is the 5th tallest building in the world. The design as a Korean traditional pottery and brush roof structure was nobly completed.

In the commercial area, as well as the residence and the hotel area, 55,458 pcs ANSI standard architectural hardware incl. outside trim, mortise lockset, door closer, and cylindrical lever lockset, and 11,775Pcs EN standard architectural hardware incl. concealed hinge, flush handle, shower booth hinge, magnetic lock, mortise, lockset, and lever handle set are applied.

The building uses Häfele's customized master key locking system. A master key can control 8000 door locks in the building and realize the grading rights control of multiple groups/domains.

Häfele master key locking systems are used for organization in large office buildings with several departments and sub-departments. For example, GMK systems have both individual keys (IK) and group keys (GK) that are assigned to different IK's. Several GK can be assigned to one master group key (MGK). The general master key (GMK) then overrides every key in the system.
