A house makeover at the foot of the Mutianyu Great Wall
The designer makes the house akin to a “回” shape by getting through different functional spaces while keeping its original timber structure. This reserves the Chinese traditional elements as well as meets the German owner’s requirements for roomy and light. Isolation and communication became the significant factors in design process.
